Terms of Use
Last updated: May 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of IsoRide ("the app"), an iOS application developed by Paul Buczkowski. By installing or using IsoRide, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The App
IsoRide is a cycling-focused weather decision tool. It uses Apple's WeatherKit service to fetch forecast data for your current location and applies a comfort algorithm to suggest whether conditions are favorable for riding. The app is provided as-is — see "Weather Data Disclaimer" below for important limitations.
In-App Purchase: IsoRide Pro
What you're buying. IsoRide Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks additional features within the app (10-day Ride Planner, Calendar Sync, Commute Today, Route Weather, Shelter Favorites, the Full Live Activity, additional themes, the full notification suite, and the custom safety buffer). There is no subscription. Once purchased, IsoRide Pro is available on every Apple device signed into your Apple ID, and is Family Shareable with the rest of your Family Sharing group.
How payment works. Purchase is processed by Apple via the App Store. IsoRide never sees your payment method. Apple's terms governing the transaction are at Apple Media Services Terms.
Refunds. All refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. Apple's standard refund policy applies.
Restoring purchases. If you reinstall IsoRide or sign in on a new device, you can restore your Pro purchase at any time via Settings → Upgrade to Pro → Restore Purchases. Apple's receipt validation confirms your entitlement automatically.
Free tier. The free tier of IsoRide is fully functional and does not contain advertisements. You are never required to purchase Pro to use the app's core features.
Weather Data Disclaimer
IsoRide's recommendations are based on Apple WeatherKit forecast data, which is updated continuously but is inherently probabilistic. Forecasts can be wrong. Severe weather can develop with little warning. Local microclimates may differ significantly from the regional forecast IsoRide receives.
You are responsible for your own safety on the road. IsoRide's verdicts ("RIDE NOW," "CAUTION," "DELAY," "DON'T RIDE") are suggestions only, based on weather data, and should not be treated as the sole basis for any safety-critical decision. Always use your own judgement, observe local conditions directly, follow applicable traffic laws, wear appropriate safety gear, and respect official severe-weather warnings.
We provide IsoRide "as-is" without warranty of any kind, including fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any injury, property damage, financial loss, or other harm arising from your use of the app or reliance on its recommendations.
Your Use of the App
You agree to use IsoRide only for personal, non-commercial use, consistent with these terms and applicable law. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Modify, redistribute, or sell the app or any of its components
- Use the app in a way that violates Apple's App Store Terms of Use
- Attempt to circumvent Apple's in-app purchase system
Intellectual Property
IsoRide, including its name, icon, design, code, copy, screenshots, and brand assets, is owned by Paul Buczkowski. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store terms.
Apple, the Apple logo, App Store, iPhone, iPad, WeatherKit, and other Apple trademarks remain the property of Apple Inc.
Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. Short version: we collect almost nothing, and what we do collect (your approximate coordinates) is used in real time to fetch weather data and is never stored on any server.
Apple's End-User License Agreement
Because IsoRide is distributed via the Apple App Store, your use of the app is additionally governed by Apple's standard end-user license agreement (the "Licensed Application End User License Agreement," available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). If there is any conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA controls.
Changes to These Terms
If we update these terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, surface the update in the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
